Every Couple Gets Stuck. You Don’t Have to Stay There.
It’s easy to lose sight of one another amidst the demands of everyday life. Conversations become arguments, connection begins to fade, and the relationship that once felt effortless can start to feel difficult.
Couples therapy offers a space to reconnect, improve communication, and strengthen your relationship. As a Punjabi-American therapist, I understand that culture, family values, and lived experiences can shape the way we communicate and relate to one another. My goal is to create a supportive, culturally responsive space where both partners feel heard, respected, and empowered to build a deeper, more meaningful connection.
You don’t have to wait until your relationship is in crisis to benefit from therapy.
Many couples seek support because they want to strengthen their relationship before problems become overwhelming.
Who I work with:
I work with couples from diverse backgrounds, identities, and relationship experiences. As a Punjabi-American therapist, I understand how culture, family values, and lived experiences can shape the way we communicate, connect, and navigate relationships. Whether culture plays a central role in your relationship or not, I strive to provide a space where both partners feel respected, understood, and supported.
You may benefit from Couples Therapy if you’re experiencing:
Communication challenges or recurring conflicts
Feeling disconnected or emotionally distant
Difficulty expressing needs or feeling understood
Trust concerns or rebuilding after hurt
Navigating major life transitions together
Differences in parenting styles or family expectations
In-law and extended family boundaries
Balancing cultural traditions with personal values
Different expectations around gender roles, finances, or responsibilities
Intercultural, interracial, or interfaith relationships
Navigating different identities, values, or backgrounds within the relationship
Premarital counseling or strengthening an already healthy relationship
My Approach to Therapy
I believe healthy relationships are built through understanding, empathy, and intentional communication. My role is not to determine who is right or wrong or to take sides. Instead, I work collaboratively with both partners to understand each person's perspective and help identify the patterns contributing to conflict. Together, we'll explore how past experiences, communication styles, family dynamics, and unmet needs may be influencing your relationship today. My goal is to help you develop practical tools for navigating conflict, improving communication, rebuilding trust, and strengthening emotional connection. My work is trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and tailored to the unique needs of each couple.
