Clinical Consultation for Mental Health Clinicians

Support for Clinicians Navigating the Work on Their Own

Once training, practicum, and supervision come to an end, being a therapist can sometimes feel surprisingly isolating. You go from having professors, supervisors, and colleagues around you to suddenly making clinical decisions on your own.

And in private practice, there may not be anyone down the hall to turn to after a difficult session, to ask “What would you do with this?”, or to simply talk through a case with someone who understands the work.

Clinical consultation offers a space to pause, think things through, and connect with another clinician, because even when you're practicing independently, you don't have to practice alone.

I provide individual clinical consultation for mental health clinicians seeking support with case conceptualization, treatment planning, therapeutic interventions, and navigating complex clinical dynamics.

My Personal Experience After Licensure

Since becoming licensed, I've had the opportunity to work across different clinical settings and with individuals, couples, and families navigating a wide range of concerns. Transitioning into independent practice also taught me how different clinical work can feel once you're no longer surrounded by supervisors, professors, and colleagues.

That experience is part of what led me to offer consultation. I understand the value of having another clinician to turn to, not necessarily for the “right answer,” but for another perspective, a place to think things through, and a reminder that you don't have to navigate the work alone.

What to Expect from Consultation

A Space to Think It Through

Consultation sessions are individualized to your needs. You may bring a specific case, clinical question, treatment challenge, or broader area of professional development.

Sessions provide a confidential space to reflect, ask questions, explore possibilities, and strengthen your clinical thinking.

Clinical consultation is not supervision and does not replace required clinical supervision, licensure requirements, or consultation required by your employer or licensing board.

You Don't Have to Do the Work Alone

Whether you're newly practicing independently or have been in the field for years, having another clinician to turn to can make the work feel a little less solitary.
